Submission guidelines:

  • Submissions can be written in any genre or style. They can be fiction, non-fiction, poetry or prose.
  • They must be inspired by the country you consider home. This doesn’t mean you need to be currently living in said country, nor does it have to form part of your genetic heritage or familial lineage. It just has to be the place that comes to mind when you think of your home country.
  • Submissions should aim to be no greater than 1,000 words. However, if you have a story to tell that is longer, we won’t turn it away. We are more likely to accept shorter submissions as there are a lot of countries in the world and we aim to read all submissions.
  • Your story should not be published elsewhere.
  • We aim to get every accepted story translated as accurately as possible. However, we may have to make some minor adjustments, so that meaning is conveyed as accurately as possible. Where possible, we will run these changes by you first.
  • Accepted authors will be informed by email. Their story will be published on the blog and will be put forward for hard-copy publishing. If we get the anthology published, authors will receive a copy of the book.
  • Please send your submissions to, with the name of your country as the subject. Submit either as PDF or Word Docs, or in the body of the email.
  • If you would prefer to send a hard copy, please email for the address.
  • We reserve the right to make any edits for the purposes of grammar, spelling and comprehension, but will not change the main body of your story.
  • Please include your name and your preferred means of contact. If you prefer not to be contacted, please state this in the body of the email.
